Mine swapped out with no coding. I recall something about the radio coding but I believe that was if you switch the radio module out and need to tell it what kind of system it's being installed in so you get the right output...come to think of it...that might have been amp coding. Either way, I swapped my nav unit in the dash without any issues.

Probably depends on what you have now - if it's a like-for-like replacement there's not likely to be any coding but if you have a different factory system and are swapping it out for a factory Nav system, there's a bunch of stuff to do...
