Warm air from one a/c center vent?
However, yesterday the left center a/c vent was blowing warm air but the one immediately to the right of it was blowing cool air. So I closed the left vent using the dial next to it and that took care of the warm air. The air coming from the other vents remained cool but not cold enough for my liking. Anyway, I guess there are completely separate paths to each center vent? BTW, the temperature dial between the vents is set to the 3 blue lines. The a/c controls on the console were set to "auto", 72 deg F (left and right), snow flake and recirculate were both ON. I have not hooked it up to INPA yet, will do that tonight, but if you have any suggestions on where to start debugging the "not cold enough" issue, I'd appreciate the help! thanks!

You probably have a bowden cable come off. It's an easy fix but a pain in the ass removing the dash.

I've had the different air vent temperatures on a couple of occasions and in both instances it was low refrigerant. Especially if the other vents don't seem as cool as they should ordinarily be; I suggest you check history and if it's a few years since a re-gas take a look at that as a possible option.

how far is the dial supposed to turn? mine goes only so far...
