Question...
If I buy a RHD DHC and everything could I install it without any modifications to the door and key it to the car? Sent from my SM-A730F using Tapatalk

another BMW acronym to learn
I can't find DHC in either of my BMW abbreviations (acronyms) lists. Do you mean HDC (hill descent control)? or is it something else?

I think DHC is unofficially 'door handle carrier.' I'm thinking EOD is wanting to install a lock cylinder on the right hand side ??

That would be nice to have; a backup for the driver's side.

I would think the drivers side master unit (RHD on mine...) is made for only a single manual lock/unlock signal but it's always possible I suppose.
Biggest hurdle will be getting that RHD manual lock/unlock signals to the master unit - in the drivers door, it's wired directly to the master unit, which then communicates with the GM etc. via a P-bus - there are no discreet wires for lock/unlock in the door hinge loom (that I can see). Maybe you would have to fit the RHD master door unit too?

I've considered the same idea. I doubt you can have a fully functioning solution but you could more than likely have a mechanical solution for entry. The problem I see is there is a master and slave door switch box. When you add a second master I see problems. Search the web for add second key to passenger door BMW. If it's possible 100% chance somebody did it and 90% chance they documented it.

If it is that you are trying to add a lock on the passenger side I looked into it myself and started a thread but opted to modify the driver's side lock for easy break-in. As far as I remember, you need the lock cylinder, plastic cover, door latch assembly and the hardware in between. Should be no problem( I think) to have the lock cylinder coded to your existing key. That should give you manual unlocking if that is what you are looking for.

The problem will be in the car deal with two master control lock cylinders.
Yes the main purpose is just to have emergency ingress You can make breakaway bolt situation on the front It will let you get into the car when the cylinder shits itself Or you could look into modifying the emergency couch in the back in a way that you can access it in a hidden way from outside. My remote doesn’t work so I have to rebuild my lock cylinder about every nine months. I am looking into modifying the tailgate because that’s a clean solution to get into the car Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro

I was hoping that the "passenger" side electronics could mate up to the master so you are only in essence unlocking that door and not trying to override the the other master lock control.
