Panoramic Sunroof Work

Does anyone know any shops in the Tristate area that does work on these sunroofs? I am looking for someone who has done these before and is confident in their work since I am willing to pay the price and get my sunroof overhauled with new parts. Thank you

Assuming tristate to be Alaska, Hawaii, and Rhode Island, I do not. However, one of my panoroofs is a stuck-up PITA…so I know what you are going through!

Mine works, I would pay to get the headliner fixed. Plus a few part replacements.

That's actually not a difficult fix. There is a small triangular piece in the track that pushes the rear of the roof panel up. You just have to push it forward and the panel will close.

*temp fix*…unfortunately, even though I have the robust repair kit from BMW…I think I will end up removing the two torx screws and lose action of backside glass.

That's what I did. Wasn't worth the work to fix it. I hardly ever open the roof anyway.

Makes sense…my hesitation is that in full-time rig (with good panoroof)…I keep vented 90% of the time driving and parked. I love venting function and know I will miss double air-flow.

The panoroof vent mode is a favorite gadget.

Mine works besides the rear glass. I did cut the triangular piece to make it functional but I still never open it just bc I had a peek at the other parts and saw how they were bc of age. Not too bad but I just don’t wanna deal with any problems. I might leave it as is and do an entire rebuild myself one day when I have time. I figured that it isn’t too complex and plus there’s a lot of documentation. I hardly used the sunroof in the first place lol it just happened that one day one side didn’t wanna close and I was like “why me!”. Then I just shut it through the holes on the triangular piece at the rear of the glass. Then I proceeded by opening the big glass completely and cut the piece that opens the back portion and it works fine as is.

Man do I miss that view of having the sunroof in vent with both of the glasses venting. I have the same color as yours just mine is an auto. I did a ton of preventive maintenance and other work. We’ve had it since 29k miles so practically almost since new. Man do I love that thing.
