I would definitely start with some DIY internal dent repair.
If it's dented no crease and no scratch it's a good candidate. I would look into a follow up of learning how to touch up paint. I found a website that will provide paint by the color code of your car and method for how to patch

Silk scarf and dry ice might work for you.

Is there room to put a flattened football or basketball in there and inflate it?
I had success doing that a long time ago. It's good to warm the paint with a hot sunny day or from a safe distance with a heat gun.

I feel like you should get a second quote on that PDR.... I had a dent removed on my truck that was muuuuch worse than that and it was $250. That included multiple creases plus it was on a body line. Your dent should not be difficult at all for someone experienced with PDR.

Looking closer with the dent under the parking lot protection, I've personally removed dents liker that. I started with slow pressure using wood blocks and either crowbar or wedges. Cut some 2x4 at matching angle to the door inside and outside so you have a parallel surface in the middle to push apart with a back to back set of wedges you can also cut from a 2x4; lubricate the wedges with wax or dish soap.
If you have room, use a quick clump to pull the wedges together so you have a very controlled very firm push out on the dent.

Whoever quoted $2600 for PDR is a thief.
Unless there's something I'm not seeing in the photo that looks like a VERY manageable place to pop the dent out seeing as you have access from behind. You might want to dry the suction cup handles they have at harbor freight or the "hot glue" dent pullers. Good luck |

Yeah… Have another PDR guy look at it.

Yeah, I'll get another PDR quote. I thought PDR was supposed to be much cheaper than regular body repair. I might just do what AndrewWynn suggested since I need to remove the door trim panel any way, to fix door window rattle issue when closing the door with the window down. It sounds like the window is loose inside. I have the parts in hand.
Thanks for all the pointers!
