Looking for a new set of reliable Tail lights

Update:
Purchased the ULO ones (just corner pieces, middle ones are NLA) which are OEM. Will report when I receive and install them.

Yes, I did search but with mixed results.
I have original ones on my 2006 with $120k + miles and they have that tired sanded look plus getting anoying bulb malfunction messages.
I'm aware of the reason and the fixes but considering the age I'd rather get a new set.
I wouldn't mind the LED or regular ones as long as they don't look gheto and the quality is good.
Anyone purcased new ones lately or any recommendations?
TIA!

I purchased one new OEM replacement, I think it was URO brand, for $150 off ebay. Same problem as you, dash messages and repairs were not sticking. It is shiny and new and works perfectly. I am going to do the other one as soon as I see a dash message about it.

I looked at the LEDs but they all looked a little too cheap and chinese for me.

Thanks for the input.
At the moment I came across ULO which shows to be OEM for E53.
I will do more research before I pull the trigger.
I'm also not willing to risk buying some cheap LED with questionable quality.

I just installed new LED lights on mine to clean up that faded look. Got them from here: https://www.ebay.com/itm/304581603221

Quality seems good for the cost and worked perfectly with no dash messages or wiring changes needed.

I think ULO is actually what I bought, not Uro. I found them for $150 shipped per side. It looks exactly like the one that came off.

Thanks. They look good.
I just purchased the ULO ones as I wanted to keep the stock look and hopefully won't regret it.
I'll keep your info just in case.

Good to know. Thanks.
I've actually just ordered the ULO ones, only the corner pieces.
$210 shipped from AutohausAZ, best price I could find.
The middle ones seem to be NLA but I'm considering some other options.

One of my concerns with aftermarket is physical fit, quality of gaskets and overall longevity.

Here is the complete ULO catalof for e53:

https://ulo.de/en/products/online-ca...%5D=model%3AX5

Will report after I get and install them.

Thank you all!

Zhent- You still happy with the LED kit? Any working photos?

I've been very happy with them. No issues at all so far. I'll have to get some night shots and brakes on shots at some point, but I don't have any at the moment. The running lights are on in the photos I've posted, though with the sunlight it's a little hard to see.
