Help! Replaced ignition switch and now steering won't unlock

I just replaced the ignition switch and now the steering wheel won't unlock. The electrical gremlins I had are gone but now I'm stuck with this new issue . The Bentley manual mentions to correctly align switch drive to the steering lock. Sounds like that's my issue but how do I fix that? Anyone know? I thought the install would just be plug and play. It appeared to be a simple process but looks like mis-stepped somewhere.

Thanks for any pointers.

Are you saying that everything works other than the steering not unlocking ?? Is the new switch not allowing the lock cylinder to rotate all the way ? Does the old switch work ?

Take it apart and make sure everything is in alignment.

The alignment was really off - fixed that and now everything's fine and dandy . Thanks for the pointers.

Pics of old and new SxS. Not sure how the new got misaligned.
