Display/Guage calibration?

Hey everyone!
I believe that someone on here had a similar problem but I can't find the post.

After replacing fuel pump and siphon jet my fuel guage is now off by a shit-load.
Example: Guage shows 3/4 tank yet it takes 43 litters to fill and 1/2 tank is empty. If it was just a siphon jet issue shouldn't it be at empty while showing 1/4...?

I thought that a poster said he had to get the computer to reset to the new position (rare occurrence) or something similar but it was a strange process.

Thanks guys

You probably have a hose getting caught on the float. I would double check everything to see if you can see the problem and then then probably re-do the work.

Hidden menu does have tank info. Is it possible to correct it by an adjustment factor?

No problems with hoses (3x removal & inspection)

I don't know I'll give it a shot, because at this point I'm ready to sacrifice a chicken while reading tea leaves

I want to say that the last guy had to use inpa to correct his level issue after a stuck float.. (maybe )

Use the dash readout to read each side and maybe that will give you a hint. I would bet dollars to donuts you installed the problem though. Why did you replace the fuel pump and syphon jet?

Be careful doing a hidden menu test 21!

Hidden menu test #21.

This function resets the software at the IKE. This reset is necessary after replacing for example one of the fuel tank level sensors...

I think that test 21 was meant to reset the damping assuming the guage was off before the work was done. Maybe something was holding the float and is now corrected after redoing it 3 times?? At any rate the guage should be working it's way back

If memory serves, I read you can adjust consumption rate for more accurate MPG under one of those menus.

I'll be trying test 21 this weekend and I hope it fixes it, because I am getting tired of doing math while driving.

I will wait for 4 fill-ups before I try to straighten out consumption (if needed)
