Figured I'd ask before I put it on the curb....

From my 2002 non-dsp, non-nav E53. I just replaced it with a whole new set-up. pins are showing a little bit of corrosion, but nothing serious and should clean up fine. Was working like a champ when I pulled it out a couple days ago. PM me and I'll be happy to ship it off to a good home.

I also have the rear speakers, or maybe its the fronts. I tossed a pair because they looked in bad shape. I can look and see which set I've still got, if anyone needs a pair. Trash day is Wed.

I'd throw it up on fb marketplace, offerup, or ebay bud! These seem to still sell for quite a lot. Curious what speakers did you replace, I did kickers throughout my e53 and then added a small 8in alphine powered sub in the back

Unfortunately not on FB/M. I have to ask my daughters to ping sellers for me when I see something I am interested in.

Sounds like we went the same basic route to an upgrade. I put 6.5 kicker two-ways in the rear door, 6.5 kicker components in the front door and side view mirror locations, a kicker 10" powered sub in the right cubby and a kicker amp in the left cubby. The dash has a Kenwood multimedia receiver and fed it Sirius and a back-up cam to it. RCA's over the top when the headliner was out last year and I'm using the OE speaker wires.

I'm no audiophile, but I really like the way it sounds and turned out.

Punch list: I want to clean up behind the reveiver as there are a ton of wires smashed into a small space, someday fabricate a more OE looking surround for the kenwood as the plastic one from crutchfield looks a bit low budget, and figure out why I can't find a wire that will dim the kenwood. Not a huge deal since it is easy to do manually, but frustrating.

I did a write-up over on the Overaland thread...let me know if you see anything that looks screwed up!

Limited appeal likely, but after the M5 steering wheel update I have the classic, comfort, whatever it is called wheel and airbag available.

Both were working fine when I removed them. The leather cover on the wheel is maybe a 5 or 6 out of 10 at this point. A good core to get re-covered without sidelining your x5 during the process.

I may be interested. Is it a heated version? And if so, was that working well? Steering wheel heater on mine used to get too hot at the top and now doesn't work at all. Thanks.

No heat, sorry. Airbag may be of value to someone since I am not sure new ones are available any longer. Or at leas that’s how I interpret what I’m seeing on RealOEM.
