Hello sirs and any ladies, right , I was just curious to see if my spare
OEM diamond key was all good , and no go battery flat. I have seen ref to the panasonic vl2020 as per image and will order BUT, as wife had an e46 with same issue same key that I attempted to open and managed to slice some of the chips off too from the circuit board is there any trick or sure way of opening the fob without doing damage i did? should i go to it with a dremel? in its current state all it can do is open the door lock manually, so nothing ventured noting gained, ps I haven't tried charging it but after having it ignition and driving a good 1.5 hours i guess if not charged then battery it kaput. Also how easy is it to remove the battery? unsolder it do to speak?

before replacing battery, seen a vid on trying to re-program a non working key same type for an e46 not sure it applies to x5 e53 though, any one have an ideas
1 inserting key in ignition and turning it to first position 2 take out key from ingnition and press and the hold down the unlock button whilst at the same time pressing 3 times the center round button 3 then let go and you should hear doors lock unlock 4 if you have a second working key same needs to be done apart from step 1 https://youtu.be/WWrqrTvTMd0?si=DHByTkVnidlC5m8j
