LA02MAX is on a distinguished road
My axle was also very frozen into the hub, and the new one was even harder to get into place (into a new hub). A slide hammer didn't budge it. I ended up buying this, and it's a lifesaver. Took about 30 seconds to fully seat the axle into the hub.

I ordered that same tool just this morning, along with an axle puller set. I should be much better prepared the next time this job comes around.

Hoping to keep these cars as long as I can afford to work on them. And am still physically able. It's not as easy as it used to be, and everything seems to take twice as long. :-)
