Merry Christmas and condolences on your losses. I did a little work on the X's brakes yesterday. They were starting to squeal at low speed braking. Pulled the pads, cleaned off the anti-squeal paste and applied lube. Quiet so far.

Lube under the pads? I'd have replaced the stop squeak with more. I'm batting 1000 with squeak

Well, the anti-squeal paste, glue actually, that I had was completely dried out and my local auto parts didn't have any thing except anti squeal lube, so I thought I'd give it a shot. So far so good.
