Which CCV do I have?

Having major crankcase vacuum where it's hard to pull the oil filler off. Signs point to bad or clogged CCV.

How do I tell if I have the cold-weather version? My ride was sold new in Indianapolis so I'm guessing it does.

Find that short 90° hose: if has the Piper insulation on it you have the cold weather version.

That's the cold weather pipe.

The vent valve doesn't look like it's cold weather version so likely just one version.

It doesn't really matter what it has, I think they all come with the insulation now. The actual "cold weather kit" comes with a different dipstick tube.

Different dipstick tube (insulated bottom where oil from the separator goes back to the pan).

Interesting i didn't know about the dip tube.

Looks like you can "roll your own" cold weather versions with doing pipe insulation.

No the dipstick 'tube' has an extra hole above the oil level line so that if the CCV freezes it doesn't suck the oil out of the crankcase. The hole ruins the vacuum break for the oil separator though.
You can put the hole in the dipstick tube yourself and I think someone on here has done that.

Sorry for the typo, going too fast and not reading!

Sounds like your are describing a modification to the dipstick guide tube.

Any hole to the environment is a "vacuum leak" I'm curious about the hole though seems would suck in cold air and actually risk freezing any water in the separated oil coming into the dipstick tube back to the sump.

No, the hole is in the crankcase but above the oil level.
