Picked up the old bitch today. Lit up instantly in 18F cold and she’s all purrrr… drives so nicely. embarrassed to say what the bill was so I won’t. But I’ve decided to drop some $$ on some other things and keep it going. Might even sell the F30. I just don’t drive that much now that I’m remote work + 80% travel.

Fuel pump was half the cost! Or more! I need to replace my fuel pump. At 171k+miles, I'm gambling every time I crank it up. I do keep my fuel level above 1/2 tank at all times. I might as well buy a fuel pump. Once the X5 is down for rear bearings, I can do the fuel pump too.

Yep, Delphi pump was $495, plus diag & labor. Hope that's a decent part.

In my experience these electric fuel pumps make unhappy noises while slowly dying, but this one just quietly noped the F out.

Hey at least it's done!

Next: spark plugs and CCV thingummyjig. But I can do that myself, once it ever warms up here.

NGK coil packs Summit Racing NGK U5055(24H20
Iridium spark plugs (BKR6EIX) Rock Auto NGK 6418 Gap 0.032
BMW 11617534237 hot weather CCV.

My parts recommendation. I've run almost 30k+ miles on the coils and spark plugs. No issues at all. I think a hot weather CCV separates oil vapor better. Less oil usage through the CCV system.
