Green coolant leak coming from driver side behind rear tire
What the hell... Car driving great, came to car this afternoon and saw green puddle and dripping from literally behind the rear driver side tire. I thought it must be the gallon of coolant I have in the storage compartment by the taillight. Nope that container is new and sealed. I really couldn't see the leak beyond where it was dripping from the lower body panel right behind the tire. I wiped it up, but it kept dripping. What on earth, does anyone know of any lines running near there?

Washer fluid to rear wiper? Coolant should be blue.

My washer fluid is blue. I'm using just regular coolant I believe and I do think it's green. Stuff is slippery too. Def not my washer fluid. Thanks

If it gets on to the big plastic tray that's under there it could be coming from further away than you think. Rear heat ?? pull the jug you have stored, don't just assume it's not leaking.

Yeah, I removed the jug and set it aside. Def seems ok.

I looked again and it seems like the coolant is coming off the heat shield above the exhaust at the very back of the heat shield. So agree probably coming from somewhere forward. Right now I see no other leaks.

I don't see any issues by the expansion tank. Could very well be below the intake manifold. Oh boy!

Yikes. Hope it's an easy fix!

What's the difference between the blue and green coolant anyway? I mean other than the price!

Well, this unusual leak stopped. I can't explain it. My coolant level has been stable so I just don't know. I'm going to keep an eye on it and keep the extra bottle of coolant in the car. I know from past that the low coolant warning does work so at least I'll be alerted. Worst case I'll pull over. No big deal. Eh, a new car would be so unexciting.

Look into getting a cooling system pressure tester.
