Anyone purchase the AFE Intakes for X5's yet? (3.0i, 4.4i)

Well the Intakes were posted a while ago on Bf.com, and I was excited that someone finally made an intake system for the 3.0L X5. Anyone happen to buy one, or know of any other manufacturer that makes intakes for the 3.0i?

Thanks in Advance.

Yep, read with interest that post over at Bimmerforums a while back. I'm still waiting for Dinan CAI but the AFE is garnering some interest.

If you notice on the Dinan site, there's no performance upgrades for any model with the new valvetronic engines. A good guesstimate for when it will be avail for the x would be to add a year from the time they are avail. for the 5 series e60. it's going to be a while before stuff is ready for the x.
I'd be hesitant with the AFE. A poorly designed CAI is worse than a stock airbox, anyday. You remember how well that Gruppe M bullshit worked out for people?

I wonder if I can still get the current Dinan box for my 04 to complement the free flowing exhaust.

i don't think it'll fit in your 04. the layout of the valvetronic engine is different than the 03. plus, dinan won't sell the cai without the stage 3a engine management software, which is useless for the Valv.
