Anyoen have 6000k Bulbs and Ballasts installed on their X5?

If so, which company did you go with? Do the ballasts fit in the ballast Carrier? And if you don't mind, can you post pics?

After much research I settled for the Philips Ultinon 6000k HID bulbs which are direct replacements for OEM HID bulbs. But a word of caution the higher the temperature the less white light there is. So I wouldn't go for anything higher than 6000k.

I've tried to take pics at night but came out crappy. May be I should take pics at dusk when it's not so dark.

Thanks for the reply, where did you pick them up from? And if you don't mind me asking, how much did you pay fro them?

I'm actually doing a Xenon retro-fit, but I don't have any bulbs and Ballasts, so that's why I'm going with 6000k.

Also, did the 6000k ballasts fit in the ballast carrier?

Thanks bro.

My X5 already has bi-xenon so all I needed was the D2S bulbs. You would need the whole conversion kit. I got them from these guys.

Well, I just bought OEM Xenon headlights from a 2002 X5, would I need D2S or D2R?

Here's a pic of the headlights...

Ohh, and thanks for the link.

Those xenons have projector bulbs so you need D2S bulbs (and ballast). Forgot to mention 6000K looks amazing with a much deeper blueish-purplish look, of course at the expense of white light.

I've been thinking of getting the HID fog kit to match. Might just take the plunge sooner or later.

That'll look great, did the ballast fit in the ballast carrier, or did you mount it somewhere else?
