You are so lucky to have cheap fuel over there!

you would never be able to afford to do that kind of trip over here in the UK with the price of fuel.

super unleaded (99 Octane) $1.91 per Ltr ($8.595 per Gallon)

yeah, I forgot to mention Idaho dust is a daily thing - worse at harvest and planting - for the last few years construction made it year round- my '01 X5 gets washed a miminum once a week - seeems the wind is always blowing

My '06 is 6 weeks old with 5700 miles - I guess an extended warrantee is a must at this stage - 1st oil light went out at over 4100 miles

As I've said before, there are alot of empty roads out here in the real west (away from the coast) - hardly any traffic and fewer troopers - pick your spots carefully and have a great radar detector - NV they keep near the towns - UT has a few below Provo when you think you're clear - ID also like to be near the towns, but only have alittle over 100 for the whole state. They also like the college towns. Just watch out for idiots passing on blind turns (it's happened to me!)

talk about ironic (consider my last post in this thread) -- the other day I had my dad's C4S out, and I was just getting on the 280-South when a brand new Ferrari F430 -- no plates yet -- got on in front of me. Let's jus say I got from the end of 19th Ave/start of 280-S all the way to Palo Alto in about 30 mins lol... thanks to hardly ANY cars on the freeway, I saw 137 on the speedo lol, and we were avging around 100 the whole way down lol ... and my ears were bleeding by the end thanks to the Ferrari-induced eargasm lol

I am with you on the speed issue. If I feel the need for speed I take it to the track. It is not worth it. I believe the law here in Washington is 10 over is reckless and 20 is neg driving and they can take you to jail while impounding your car. I belong to a local car club here and one of the guys joked about having a get out of jail fund. My husband on the other had would disagree and has the tickets to prove it.
