Not sure of the "size" of broken screw shaft, but I've had
luck using a reversible drill with a bit just less than the dia of the broken screw/bolt. Try to turn it out/left using very slight rpms and pressure... If it's decent size in od, a screw extractor is the next try, though I've had lil'success with them on small size screws/bolts. GL,mD

Get a set of broken screw removers. Drill hole for the size you need and reverse thread the remover in. It should extract the broken part. NAPA/ TrueValue /Sears should have what you need in stock.
