Talking OK so I got the X5 replica running boards

You guys are probably going to throw stones at me but yes, I got the replicas. I didn't really want running boards. Just wanted to enhance the looks. These were half the price of the OEM version. As some of you know, they bolt directly on top of the X's original running boards, if you can call them that. Total installation time... 30 minutes. The brushed aluminum is thick and of pretty good quality. I like the nice touch of the "X5" engraved into the aluminum (see pic below). My BMW service advisor saw them and didn't even realize they were replicas. He said "Hey you put the R/B's on your X5. Those were a pain to install huh?" I said "Hmmm... yeah"

They look nice. Best part, no worries about black and blues on my left calf because my running boards stick out so much further. I wish I would have known about these.

They took some getting used to. Doesn't happen too much anymore but when I first got them I was always hitting my leg getting in and out.
