What I did was heat the badge up with a heat gun and then, with some fishing line, slide it behind the badge and glide the line through in and up and down motion cutting away the adesive pad and it peeled off nicely. You could use a hair dryer also; Just be careful not to burn your fingers or the paint.

You can buy one on Ebay for about a $1000 plus, take it to the dealer or find and independent that has one.http://shop.ebay.com/?_from=R40&_trk...All-Categories

The DIS is not a lowering module, it is the dealers diagnostic system.

lol!! OK to answer all your questions,

That was my first 4.6is, I dont have that now but do have another black 4.6is with slightly more spec than that car.

PaddyH747:

Hi and welcome to the club! I'm based outside Derry in N.I, where are you loacated?

You can take your X5 to any of the dealers to be lowered. Depending on what X5 you have, you will either need springs for all round, or springs for the front and rear lowered by DIS at the dealer, but only if you have self leveling rear suspension.

I purchased my Springs from Motor Sport & Spares in Ballymena. Nice guys to deal with, ask for Harold and say Sudesh sent you.

Something also thats worth doing is taking a copy of how the self leveling suspension is lowered by DIS, as the dealers here dont really know the self levelling suspension can be lowered this way. I printed out a copy from this forum and just handed it to the service guys and explained how I wanted the car to sit.

Chilliewillie:
Thanks for the coments! on my head lights, I actually removed the standard orange bulb and replaced with a silver one that blinks orange when used. I also covered over the orange corner with some silver vinyl and that is why the headlights look the way they do. My X5 is a late 2003 car so the lights couldnt be split to to do any internal mods, so I ended up going that route and it did turn out nice and for only a few $$$ and yet that is a camer in the hitch cover.

Thanks everyone else for the comments.
