BlueTooth and XDA/HTC

I have an XDA Orbit (HTC3300) and thought I'd have a go at pairing it with the X5 which worked ok, but the phonebook doesn't transfer. Can anyone tell me, is this problem related to the phone hardware or all Windows Mobile 5 devices?

Is there any way to 'force' the upload of contact data to the X5?

Well, yes and no. It was useful to read, but it states:

"Depending on the type of Bluetooth mobile phone, the telephone book is
either transferred automatically or manually
(depending on software version of phone) by the user to the ULF control module. "

But there's no more info on how this manual transfer can be done. I have looked in the manual for the phone and there's no mention of it there. I would have thought that it would be standard for any Windows Mobile 5 device.

????

Hey, I have a better idea !!!

In your WM5 device export contacts (phonebook) to the SIM-card, then put this card to your auto-telephone (use Scotch tape for big-adapter). And copy into BMW-phonebook, and so on...

P.S.
But if you have many numbers (e.g. macznik home nr, macznik fax nr, macznik mobile nr,) - then all will be transferred...
