Upgrading wheels, bear with me..

Okay, my first actual post, bear with me. I'm looking to get some new wheels. I personally like the look of black wheels- but I've got a white X5- a buddy has a white Rangie with black wheels and it looks slick.

Anyhow, here's what I've been looking at:

I did find some white wheels with a chrome lip:

#4...But have the centers painted silver or matte black. White would look nasty IMO

You know, if you are going to spend big bucks on wheels you really need to put some nice powder coated calipers behind them. Perhaps some 4.6is calipers with cross drilled rotors.......

Humm... I happen to know where you can buy a set of 4.6is calipers to be powder coated.....

LMAO .. the salesman.. Although I'd agree, if you're getting new wheels.. powdercoat the calipers.

I like the white ones.. i think that would be the ones to go with. Most people wouldnt even make it an option, but if you've got the balls to do it - DO IT!!

The calipers will be painted for sure. As to what color, not sure yet.. I'm leaning towards 22s, but after reading some of the posts on ride quality, they might be 20s. It's a 50/50 toss up at the moment. Also, to stagger or not to stagger? I like the staggered look- makes the SAV more agressive.

I am really leaning towards the white wheels- you always hear of blacked out cars, but what abt all white? I'd have to paint some of the exterior trim.

The X5 is going into get tinted this Thursday, limo from rear passenger doors back, and 20% up front. After I decide on a wheel this Friday, I'll place an order for some lowering springs.. still researching those. I'd like to do wheels/tires/springs and possibly calipers in one shot.

Now with the black wheels, I like #2. #1 is just different, but kinda on the ghettotastic side IMO.
