Two car seats and an adult in the back seat?

Can it work in an '04-'06 X5? I don't expect it to be Maybach-esque, but I'm looking to fit, with reasonable comfort, on occasion and for relatively short durations, an infant car seat/carrier, a toddler seat, and my 5'5", birthin'-hipped mom.

it can "work" but she'd have to sit in the middle, and possibly not the most comfy place to sit, especially between 2 child seats. Why not seat her up front? =D

It'd probably be notably harder to fit my 6'2" AH in the back, and she'd love to be right next to the grandchitlins, anyway.

We only have 1 car seat, although it is a larger one, and there is still a lot of room back there, so IMO your scenario would probably work.

Depends on the seats and if they are forward facing or rear facing. We've had two car seats in the back ('late '04 3.0) with an adult as well. It is tight and one of the seats had to use a belt vs latch.

We have a Chicco KeyFit infant seat (rear-facing) and a Britax Marathon toddler seat (forward-facing). I haven't investigated all the LATCH points in the X5, other than to check that it's got them, but I'm fine with using the belts if need be.

(AH - Almost Husband, as in we have a kid, and another on the way, but it isn't on the books.)

That would be ideal except that I don't have an X5 in my possession (shopping), and I figured it would be easier to see if anyone here had experience with such a scenario rather than dragging our baby gear down to the dealership.
