CV Boot

Hey all, found out to day that my CV boot is torn, and obviously throwing grease all over the inside of my rims and on the caliper. Is it possible to just replace the cv boot, or do I have to have the axle rebuilt? I really am hoping that I was mislead with the rebuilt thing. if able to replace how much am i looking at on average?

You probably should do the other CV boot as well. It's garunteed to rip as well. Its just a matter of time. Don't worry about the CV joint or axle it should still be fine....

Do the inner and outer boots, completely remove old CV grease and replace with new. Get a couple of large ring clamps for the inner boot. Unless you have the proper crimping tool. Those were a pain.
