Goodbye to my X5 3.0, say hello to......

Well just got home from the dealer, my 2004 3.0 X5 is gone. The last 9 months of owning it have been quite an adventure but overall driving the car has*been a great experience and has made me a BMW lover for life.

As some of you may know, I had a ton of issues with the car especially electrical ones (82 days in shop since December). I was able to get the car bought back by BMW under Lemon Law and surrendered it to the company BMW contracts with today and since I love the way X5s drive enough and think I just had bad luck, I just bought a new one!

My new X is an 05 4.8is with 35K miles, fully loaded with every option (nav, comfort seats, heated front and rear, PDC, sliding load floor, pano roof, basically everything that is possible on an X). I was originally going to buy a 4.4 but then I drove the 4.8 and all I could say was DAMNNNN these things are badass. I can't wait and hope I have better luck with this one!

Anyway, I am taking delivery tomorrow, and yes I know:

So here is one from the dealer's lot I took with my phone and from their site, but I will get more when I get the car if people care!

Sorry to hear about all the issues you had with your 04, my fingers are crossed that none of those bugs crawl towards my driveway !

Wow you guys have good eyes! Yep, bought it from South Bay, was pretty happy with them as a whole. It came down to the one that they had and one at Sterling BMW. Sterling's sales guys were way too high pressure, calling me constantly to say "someone is looking at the car" so I just didn't want to deal with them. Plus the one at South Bay (I guess I can now say it... Mine), is in FLAWLESS condition, I can not find one nick or scratch on the whole car, plus it was always serviced at South Bay and I have figured through my MANY experiences there, that they have some of the best techs in the LA area (them and New Century), so I felt confident with my purchase!
