I believe the camera either has a filter or white balance adjusted, or low-light situation that's skewing the color. It looks Imola to me.

That is Imola Red, my 06 looks exactly like that in some lighting conditions.

I have Imola red and the color changes a lot depending on the light. It will look burgandy sometimes, but in direct sunlight it will be very red. I still think the imola on my M5 is darker than on my X5. Yet on the M3's it seems to be brighter. You would think its all the same. Must be in my head.

Looks like an awesome Imola red X to me, I do prefer leaving the black trim alone, I am not a fan of painting the trim to match body color.

Maybe there was a filter on the camera to make the red look deeper/darker. I like it a lot more than the brighter pics though.
