Hey guys I need to replace mine - really squeaks badly over any tiny little bump - driving me insane. I assume we're talking about the same part:

2 REAR UPPER CONTROL ARM SET FOR BMW E53 X5 00-06 on eBay (end time 09-Mar-11 00:38:38 GMT)

or part 11 here:

RealOEM.com * BMW E53 X5 3.0d REAR AXLE SUPPORT/WHEEL SUSPENSION

How did you get on? I don't have any good indy's who will work on an X5 around here and I just want it done so would like to do it myself this weekend. How hard is it? Did you have problems with tension? Anything else that should be changed while it's all in pieces?

Thanks.

South London, Bromley/Croydon area. I know there's a guy in Houndslow but that's quite a trek particularly if I'm having to leave the car there etc.
