[quote=Michelle]UPDATE: I just heard from my SA. I do not need a new transmission.

The DSC unit went bad, so the car couldn't read what the tires were doing and it shut everything down. The part will be in on Monday.[/

Got my X back on Tuesday.

I fell in love with the 5-series and I was beginning to talk myself into it being a replacement. But once I got back in the X, I forgot all about the 5er. I love the X5 waaaaaay too much!

I hear ya... and it is contagious! My mother's E39 528i pulled a good one on us Christmas day and burnt a hole in an exhaust valve... which is a very strange situation in itself as NO ONE can figure out how/why this happened, or why there is absolutely no other damage in the engine... But I've been letting her drive my 4.6is since then and she SERIOUSLY does not want to give it back!!!

I am now on the lookout for either a late E39 540i, an early E60 545i or an E53 X5 with either of the V8's to get her in after I get the 528 back together on monday.
