Radiator !!

So while i'm driving 'check coolant level' appears. I pull into the sunoco and get some antifreeze.

Open the hood up and notice coolant all over in the engine bay. Wait a couple of minutes fill up with coolant and notice that it does not go anywhere...no leaks under the car nothing. I start her up again and look at the radiator only to see to jet streams of coolant coming out of it towards the engine...

Shut her off call tow truck...take it home...

Now I am replacing the radiator...that's a 1st for me since it never was changed....

Now I really do not think this was necessarily 'only' a radiator problem.

Pressure buildup which could have caused the damage to the radiator itself...I am also replacing the radiator cap...

Everything else seems in good shape...

Found Behr direct replacement for about $280...but not sure also tried bavauto...most dealers around here have parts closed...or want to charge $480

Weasel will become famous soon enough
I need one soon too as it is starting to seep and leave the slimy residue at the end tank... I found one at performance radiator for $224.

BMW 2003 X5 Radiators, AC Condensers, Fan Assemblies at USA Radiator

There is a location a couple miles from my house and they have a good product with warranty. I used one of their units in my old E36 as well, no problems ever.

Couldn't you just get the OEM one with your discount?

Well my radiator just arrived...but it is not the right one...What bugs me is that I ordered the one W/O HRL(heater return line)....and in both pictures on their website it showed the radiator to be the same...with that 3rd entrance to a smaller hose...but as u can see in my pics it is missing...
I guess I need to reorder one with the heater return line...or just go straight to the dealer and buy the whole thing for whatever extra it is...
