I am talking about part number 84109195455. this is the latest and greatest TCU with I-bus that will work for your car. Like I said earlier there is a ton of info on this forum. I have a 02 X5 no navi or dsp and it works really well.

hmmm now I am really confused. I did a ton of searching and BT issues seem very random, not everyone talking about the same issue and every car seems to have a different version of system ....this is so annoying....

I have the NOKIA 6230i BMW cradle from my e60, and I checked the part number is same for this vehicle, however I have the Motorola Cradle in the arm rest, and their is no eject button for that cradle, do you know how to remove it? anyone in the forum ever removed a BMW PROF. MOTOROLA phone from the center console?

I did. There 's a trick to slide TWO credit cards simultaneously on the sides of the cradle, so that the base can be removed... I think I found it here or in E39 forum...

ok will try it tonight, so you think if I just get the newest BT module and just plug it in the rear instead of the old one I can pair my phones? I do not need to buy a Pairing button or anything else?

Here is the situation,

I opened the motorola cradle and it seems to be wired in the back and the nokia 6230i cradle even is a proper part # for my vehicle wont fit there as the base seems to be not compatible. What part do I need to smoothly fit the nokia cradle and change the TCU and just use the BT system smoothly....?

Had THIS Motorola (with cradle, like yours). The other cradle does NOT seem to fit in your empty space (when Motorola cradle is removed). If you go with the ULF solution, you need something like THIS (with pairing button) Bluetooth SA644 hands-free retrofit kit BMW X5 E53, X5 3.0d (M57N) ? BMW parts catalog
- not the whole set, just the cradle with 2 connectors, eject and pairing button...
Have no idea if the suggestion for a new gen TCU works without pairing button (as suggested above) ...

I see the Handsfree retrofit kit has two wires going out, your vehicle had the corresponding cables ready to be plugged it? And this box includes the pairing button?

Box includes pairing button AND eject (for optional adapter)
If I remember well, after removing Motorrola cradle there were THREE adaptors (one stays unplugged)
