Tire Minumum Tread

Hey guys, I just want to make sure when the tires are at the minimum tread. It's about 2-3mm right? When it gets to those stub indicators?

My 19" Diamaris saw their last trip on the journey down to the X5 meet in the Carolinas. I'll be switching over to my 18" winter tires in the next 3 to 4 weeks and I have a complete set of Diamaris ready to put on the 19" y-spokes for the spring.

If you are down to the stub indicators then you are at the bitter end.

You could wait until you can see the belts under the rubber.

Below 6/32" you'll start to lose snow traction... below 4/32" you'll start to lose hydroplaning resistance... below 2/32" your hydroplaning resistance is significantly reduced.
I'd say now's a good time to replace them

I was at 26K when I replaced my original Michelins on my X5 4.4 19" sport package. I probably could have gotten another 5K use. I then switched to Pirelli Scorpions, looks like the mileage is going to be about the same. As often mentioned, the rears are showing advanced wear on the insides. Has anyone seen better mileage from their tires?
