Man. That pic brings back memories of mine with 11k Miles in 2011. Fond memories! Yours looks just the same as mine did!

~177k miles on mine now and I have always worked from home. We've been a few times to both borders and both coasts and right ab everywhere in between a dozen times. Driven to Seattle and Key West. San Diego and Maine. It's still our go to road tripper. Maintain it with a fervor that makes sense to absolutely *no one* and you will have the experience of absolutely no one. Not to mention the costs.

Enjoy your ride. The memories we have will never be replaced. Use it in the best of health.

From what I've read airbags can be expensive and frustrating to deal with when they start going south. And every thread I've read about replacing them has been coupled with "and I can't tell the difference, the ride is great".

But I am curious what drove the previous owner to that decision.

Lol

I thought they meant the safety airbags, not the airbag suspension

Need a little bit of help from the IS guys. I replaced the rearward rear fender flares on my 4.6is and It looks like I need these clips 51117073517. I checked with BMW and they don't have any in the country and Germany doesn't have any either. I was wondering if anyone here possibly happens to have some used one laying around.. Here's a link for picture reference.

Yeah, those are like hens teeth currently. Used ones work just as well as new if you run across some. If not, they are easily made out of thin metal.

Edit: There's a set on Ebay. Ebay Set

What’s going on with the lack of spare parts for our cars? They made thousands of X5’s, surely there is a market to keep them going?

My guess is because this is a very specific & uncommonly ordered part thats why after 20 years they stopped making it. While tough to get, I've been able to get brand new OEM fender flares & trim for the car which I thought would have been NLA a long time ago.
