The 4.6is vs. 4.8is discussion keeps coming so posting the info below here.

4.8is is more powerful and more HP than 4.6is.

Screen shots from the respective manual as below:

X5 4.6is - 340 HP 350 torque
X5 4.8is - 355 HP 369 torque

Your '05 looks great! I just purchased an '06 with every option with 48k, Black Saphire/Black leather. I can't wait to receive it in two weeks.

When it arrives next week I'll install running boards and my trailer hitch. This car is perfect the way it is but I'd like to swap out the interior door/dash/console trim for Anthracite rather than the stainless. Thoughts?

What is the anthracite? Is that the darkened wood? My 4.8 has the dark walnut which I'd like to switch to something else but I've never seen the anthracite. Maybe we could do a group buy?
