They worked and didn't freeze-up and blow your gaskets in the Winter.

P.S. Lighten-up a bit. My comment was not meant to be an in-depth manifesto to go back to the engines of the 1950's.

Hi experts,

The problem I have looks like the one described here but still I will need your urgent feedback before the dealer opens my engine with open bank check!!
So, start the engine, normal, no smoke no engine noise just a normal wonderful powerful vehicle..
Waiting around 5-10 minutes, push on the fuel pedal … white smoke goes out from the passenger side exhaust then disappears completely … waiting another 5 minutes and push again … white smoke appear !! drive, stop at traffic light or side, push fuel , white smoke.. but while idle or driving no smoke at all …

Add to that, around every 1-2K mile, oil is consumes by almost a liter and I have to add oil from time to time…, search with the technician around the engine,,, not symptoms for oil leak!

Would it be the Oil Separator as you all say! And if so is it something complicated to do and requires to take out the engine in order to replace it?

Your advice might save thousands so Plz be generic :-)

It does appear oil is getting into your combustion chamber. The problem in the discussion has been from cold weather conditions where the oil separator is blocked and oil forces its way into the combustion area (pistons valve area). This causes the oil burning and the smoke. Also explains why you have to add oil. Problem is you’re not in a cold environment.

I’m not sure if the oil separator can block and unblock itself as you describe. On the other hand if the smoke was from a more serious condition it would happen all the time. I would begin with the oil separator. It’s not that difficult but it’s in the rear of the engine and bit tricky to get to.
