Schrei-x5 is an unknown quantity at this point
I have the door carrier problem, Can anyone recommend a shop in Oregon???

I can not open the door from the outide on the drivers side. I hear this is a common proble on BMW's. I took it to the dealer I got it from because I have a extended warranty of course they will not cover this... hate these people. But the tech said he could do the job for $270.

Is this a good price or should I try this repair my self? I am pretty mechanically incline. But these small work space type jobs can be a pain I know and with the side air bags it shys me away.

So what do you think about my $270 quote?
Should I do the job?
Or can anyone recommmend a good shop in Beaverton/Portland oregon?

wow, not covered under extended warr. that sucks!
some shops i've used...

Boyd's Motorwerks (around 15th & Sandy) in Portland.
AR Motors by Lake Oswego. They are down from Bridgeport Village on Boones Ferry.
There's also another indy shop off 217 & Beav-Hillsdale, but I forgot the name.

As lowblock sugg... try the other dealer first.

Where did u buy the car? Kuni of Rasmssn?
