Dead Battery .. inner headlight on?

So I'm walking up to my X5 today. I notice the drivers side inner angel eye flickering.. I'm like WTF! So i hit the key fob to open doors.. NADA!! I put the key in drivers side to roll down windows/unlock door.. The drivers side door unlocks, but my freaking outside handles BROKE!!! So I go back to work and get my tools to open door.. I'm a firefighter..Can only get in the drivers side door.FYI.. I jump the vehicle, starts right up!! woohoo.. Well my tach isn't working, fuel gauge is jumping all over the place.. Cannot change options on computer..led screen on dash isn't working either. Its a 04 4.4 looks like original battery.. I have it on a charger now. Going to check it in a few hrs. Think I need a new battery? It showed ZERO signs of going bad. but it did sit for a few days. I have to get my tools to break back in, cause my son locked the doors,( I didn't know he did) before I shut the trunk lid!! I disconnected negative terminal while on charger.. Did I mention its POURING OUT!!

Is there a process to reset computer after dead battery/ new battery!!
Thanks
Stay DRY!!

You're wierd electrical events are due to low voltage. Hopefully it is only the battery and nothing else. If it is the original, I'd say you got your moneys worth out of that one. No specific reset procedure to be done to vehicle, it just needs some juice.

if your headlamp was stuck on, i would check the lamp module for water damage, as the sunroof drain is probably clogged, and caused the lamp module to become water damaged. i would also check the dashboard also, as sometimes the water will wrinkle the dash($5,000). after charging the battery the only thing that needs to be reset is the steering angle sensor.

after you jump it off on a good charge make sure you turn the steering wheel lock to lock to reset the sensor. That should turn off some of your dash lights.
