My X5 keeps beeping at me.....

Ok, so I have only had this car a week and am still trying to figure it out. I keep hearing a beeping noise inside the car. It beeps and shows me the time at :59 of every hour, but other times there will be a few beep for what seems to be no rhyme or reason. I have read the manuals and cant find anything in there either. Nothing is lighting up in the info area either. Anyone else had this happen?

I live about 5 min from the BMW plant in South Carolina. Sure wish I could go over there and get a X5 101 class.......

Its a timing setting withing the Radio Display (MID). Play around somewhere with the settings with the Radio Display (MID) and you will see something with alarm or timing or something in the setting related to the time, disable it and it wont mention the time on the cluster again.

The Radio display has no such functions, it is just a display. The Instrument cluster contains all the information for the Memo Function. If the setting is not active, but you still have the hourly reminder come on, perform an instrument cluster reset and then disconnect the battery for 15 minutes. Set the time and the date accordingly, and start the car then turn the steering wheel full lock to lock to relearn the steering angle sensor value. If this still does not fix it, consult your local dealer to have the instrument cluster re-coded.

How is that so? I have a custom navigation installed today but when I did still have my MID I had my MEMO features within the MID :/

Here's the setting I am referring to from the manual of our X5s.

Remove your instrument cluster and see if you still have the memo function.

I am pretty sure you are correct, I am not challenging your knowledge with the X5 :P You are indeed way more advance with the X then I am, All I am saying is that I know there was a function to enable and disable it via the MID.
