Water pump bearing failed after 3 years, 35k miles

My water pump failed, luckily close to home. The bearing went out. Coolant blasted everywhere, what a mess. My guess is that the belt was too tight and caused premature failure on the pump bearing. Anyone ever change their belt tensioner before?

I'm replacing the pump, thermostat, seals, gaskets etc.

I've thought about doing the rear coolant manifold, since that hasn't been done before. Anyone have advice on removing the rear manifold and replacing the gaskets?
