Good stuff! Hope you keep us updated as to how many years/months go by before additional/repeat repairs are needed, if at all.
Recommendation for the DIY'ers... use a dremel with the small drill attachment to drill your four "screw access" holes. Very stable and precise. I followed this method: http://www.bimmerboard.com/forums/posts/543597 and I think that the additional thick paper "backing" that I added behind the rubber pieces might hold out for a few years, but may not be permanent unfortunately.
