Bmw x5 4.8is vs gti (modded)

Raced with gti modded version, not sure what have done to the car so far, but he raced me. he did 163mph max, for me 146 max, after that car wont go more, guess speed limit is on. I will post the video later guys.
So, my question would be, have anyone done ecu reflash, meaning removed speed limit? Is there any disadvantages of it, or bad for the car?

Thank you.

You need to add the Dinan stuff... that should max out the 4.8is performance.

I have three things to say:

1. Where did you race at 140+MPH? on the streets? if so, thats is not very smart, you're putting a lot of people in danger...

2. Dinan stuff would definitely help, but unfortunately they didnt make a lot of products for the 4.8is.

3. Please try to be clear when you speak, I dont understand your grammar..

Not on the streets, i would never put someones life in danger, we raced in safe location.
Just for start i think removing speed limit would help.
Sorry for grammar, i am still learning
