What size did you put on the rears? I didn't think Atturo's have 315's

I have 315s rear and 275s front. Too new to really say but seems ok so far.

Glad to have you back. It's too bad so many people choose to follow the crowd rather than be the pioneers isn't it.

Weasel will become famous soon enough
Just looked at these on a cheap tires website, the tread design looks exactly like the federal couragia tires...? Seriously, look at the tread on the atturo vs the federal in this link.

Bigwave faces very high prices for tires in Australia, and chose to go with a lower line tire both because he didn't notice a difference in performance, and he accepted the higher noise level. Others have different priorities. And here in Canada we have inexpensive first line tires available. But if you want to use them, more power to you, and let us know how they last, and how the warranty works out.

The Atturo website didn't say anything about Federal last year when I read it, it simply referred to contract manufacturing.

The website now states "manufactured by Federal" and notes that the tires now have DOT certification. Also, the Federal website is using the same text as the Atturo website, discussing the SRG tread pattern.

And from your link, the Federal tire is $173 vs $220 for the Atturo (315/35 20). So the Atturo tire seems to be competing at a price point slightly higher, albeit with what appears to be the same tire.

One of the differences may remain the tire warranty. Federal has a registration and warranty program. Atturo has not announced any new dealers in North America since last year, and notes that warranty is only valid at authorized dealers. They appear to continue to be drop shipping container loads into North America. Certainly local tire stores could put their own warranty on them, might explain the markup.

Yes, I agree with you. My comment was really to support Bigwave for trying them out. It's all too easy to chastise someone for being a risk taker when these are the people who, more often than not, lead the way for the rest of us.
