can someone make a diy video on transmission fluid change

Is their any videos on this ? Has anyone ever use jack stands instead of building a ramp for the transmission pan drop?

No because I need my hands free to hold the bottle in one hand and pump in the other. There are plenty of writeups on www.e38.org w/ pics and all.

Yes. Ramps, jack stands, or a hoist.

And James, I'm surprised you haven't moved up from the 'ol hand pump and bottle routine? I use a 2 gallon plastic garden pump sprayer with a 90 on the end... and because I'm too lazy to pump it up every time I put a tire valve stem on it so I can just throw some PSI in it with my tire chuck. Since it has a valve in the handle it's easy as 1, 2, pie! Recommended for anyone who does this often enough to warrant it, wouldn't worry about it for just your own vehicle in the driveway.

I've got like 4 of those bottles in my lawn care cabinet...I think one of them is going to have to get repurposed! I'll have to see if there are anyone one-way, quick disconnect, male chucks that I can thread onto the bottle. It makes for a great way to measure the amount going in, storage, etc...thanks for the idea, Weasel!

Hey spamking98,

This is a great way to contribute to the site. So why not
read up on the process, get a camera and have someone
video you as you go thru the process regarding the do's
and dont's?

In the meantime... here's something from 2007. http://www.xoutpost.com/bmw-sav-foru...y-02-4-4i.html

Just had new filter and fluid done at the dealer. It was 200 bucks, well worth it if you ask me.
