engine noise with new icelink plus (latest sw)

i am experiencing a whistling noise with my new icelink plus. i' ve read about the "reversed ground" issue with the earlier wiring harness, but my iceling came with what has been called "the updated harness". anyone else wxperiencing this? i have lowered my volume to 1 (in the set-up menu), and i still get a whistle that is directly related to engine speed. help.

I cannot help you on this but I would suggest you post these questions in the 'stereo systems' section. You will increase your chance of response as some audio experts do not read other sections.

I had the same reverse ground problem on a brand new icelink just the other day and Tom G's fix worked and was very simple.

thanks sapphire...but my wiring harness is an "updated version with like 6 wires instead of the 3 wire version, which you can do a reverse ground wire switch to solve the issue.

you had a 3-wire plug right? moved the ground from one slot to another?

your local stereo stores or even some Best Buy make inline filters for noise. Page TripleX5 or ChrisF as they both have quite a bit of experience with this.

Check the pins to make sure none of them have worked their way out. If not, you will probably have to use an ground loop isolator to rid of the engine noise.
