Sitting at teh DR. office so figured I'd post this.

Did the oil, 9800 miles (furthest I have ever gone) Castrol claims it is ok to 15k, I have done 5, & 7500 with glowing reports from Blackstone, well see what this brings.

I have seen posts with mangled filters coming out. Mine came out looking fine.

How accurate is the oil interval meter? I was at 1 green bar at 9800 miles.

It's based on driving style.

well I can say that if your x5 did not come with the glovebox flashlight, it IS pre-wired for it.

at least mine was. installed the flashlight charger this morning. popped the old blockoff out and the harness was attached. popped it into the charger housing and snapped it in place.

next step will be to convert the old flashlight I got as well into a switched 12v charging source for my dash cam and then hide the wiring and be happy.

That OE BMW flashlight is close to worthless.

I've never liked LED flashlights until I came across this.......

https://www.coastportland.com/hp7-led-flashlight.htm

I bought 3 of these, one for the X and 2 for the instant access handgun safes in the home.

360 lumen, blinding bright!

Make sure you have lots of AAA batteries on hand as that flashlight is a guzzler for batteries as the X5 is for fuel. Costco sells 16 pack batteries for cheap.
