I went with CONTINENTAL EXTREMECONTACT DWS06 315/35/20

I'm currently running 30mm spacers in the rear, nothing up front.

I just drove from the tire shop back to work and the handling characteristics are a little different than the staggered setup. it will take some getting used to but it seems like steering takes little to no effort. i'll see if that changes once the rubber gets scrubbed in a little.

also looking forward to being able to rotate my tires, seems like i go through 2 sets of rears before by fronts are ready to be changed.

Nicely squared!

Any issues/rubbing when you do full steering lock?

Looks meaty! Are you going to get front flares?

I didn't notice any rubbing at all. The guys at the tire shop were hesitant to install the wheels. They warned me that I will have "issues with my suspension" running a squared setup.. I said I think I'll be ok... After they installed them the guy said "looks good!" Had me full lock both ways and gave me the thumbs up to go.

I was thinking about getting the front flares, I priced them out to be about 370 shipped with the necessary rivets. But I think I'll run it as is for now and see how I like it. Maybe if I recoup some money selling the 4 fronts and 25mm spacers that I took off, I'll change my mind.

Next on my list is valve cover / upper timing gaskets (slight leak), cooling system and suspension refresh. Summers coming up so the x5 will have some downtime to get some stuff done

Replaced the CCV system today w/manifold on. Wasn't too bad, really. One unfortunate downside is that I broke one of the throttle body mounting bolts. I was even using a torque wrench. Being a Sunday with no way to get a replacement bolt today, I just put everything back together and she runs fine. Another weekend I'll remove the TB and hopefully have success backing out the bolt end. Fingers crossed that some of the bolt is protruding enough out past the manifold threads so I can unscrew it out.

My beast has just turned over 140,000 kms, so it was time to give her some new plugs and flush the brake fluid. Inspection revealed a slight oil leak near the alternator, so I'm guessing it'll be the bracket...not looking forward to that job. Apart from this, the vehicle is in excellent condition for its age and still brings a smile to my face every time I get in.

Custom mount the rear PDC sensors. The aero bumper I had didn't have PDC and the mounting for rear aero bumper isn't available separately.
