On a second note, I am part of the fueling team as a deadman on the fuel rig during the race as all of my computer work is done by the start of the race. (If I ever need my laptop during the race it is a very bad day) I deliver the fuel through a valve with a handle on the rig and release it when it is full or if there is a fire. My wife says I look like Deadpool...

We come to COTA in Austin with Trans-Am the first week of October if any of the Texas mafia wants to come. I'll put you guys on my team list and won't cost you a thing.

I second that. Would be great to meet up and would love to experience COTA. Been invited a few times for different events and I can never seem to make it. Either out of town or broke (read: wife and kids have commandeered all the $$$ for that period).

PS: If you look like Deadpool in that job position... THAT was a very bad day.

Here ya go.... this vid is my old historic Group A race car with the engine as run in 1986/87 being warmed up and idle only to about 2000rpm in the clip...

It was only a 5ltr V8 but was the fastest around in its day...

I agree, the carby cars always sounded better to my mind....(turn up the volume and have a listen..)

I agree, not much can beat a carb car (except for the police radio)

Don't ask how I know....

Shop called me, after 2 days we finally figured the issue out.. MY WOBBLE AND SHIMMY ARE ACTUALLY FIXED!!!!!!

The old owner put these E70 wheels on and put the 2011 lug nuts on the vehicle which were Spherical i believe they said and we need Conical lug nuts on the E53s. It has not centered my wheels which is why I have been having a vibrating car and shimmy so bad. I replaced my whole front suspension in the end so it drives like a dream according to the shop. They also removed my spacers before figuring this out so I will probably be leaving these off...

Doesn't make sense. The wheels require conical lug nuts for the e53 if they're e53 wheels. If you had e70 wheels that required spherical lug nuts then it should have been fine if you had the required lugs. What you may not have had is the eccentric rings that are required. The e70 wheels have a slightly larger diameter at the hub than e53. The rings make up the space. I can see not having the rings causing your problem.

It's the rings that are required to center the wheels off you use e70 wheels on e53.
