Same thing for everything they make; bought a set of 6ga, 16ft jumper cables for my son for $24. Those were in Deka retail packaging though.

You know that way the battery you are buying meets the spec standards and holds a charge. GREAT BUY and thanks for sharing the retail store option!
This group makes great products which are distributed all over the US under their brand name and others, including "private name" branding.

The EXIDE L3 battery ($95 at Menards hardware and Home Depot) I posted above is very good for the money.
So far so good 2 years later in cold winter weather here.

Here's a 2017 bump.
With arctic temps upon us in the midwest, I believe I now need a new battery. I'm working from home this week, so I didn't need to go anywhere today. It got down to about 2° F last night, then the high was about 10° F today. The X5 had been sitting about 24 hours and I was debating on taking her for a ride to warm her up or not, since I knew that even though I replaced the CCV system with the cold-weather kit, I still get that pigeon noise on starting in freezing temps that tells me there is frozen moisture in the tubes. The car had been sitting there locked with alarm activated, then all of the sudden the alarm activated. It seemed to stop before I could get to the keys, but then I noticed the alarm light wasn't flashing and my key FOB wouldn't unlock it. I have a one car garage, but the X sits in the driveway because I have too much crap! I hooked up my cheap Walmart charger on 12V setting and at first the needle was all the way up at 0%. After about 15 minutes, it was at 50%, but 15-20 minutes later it was still at 50%. I unplugged the charger and took a hairdryer and blew around the dipstick and in it and around the oil separator for about 5 minutes. I'm not sure if this does much good, but it was then 6° F outside and I'm trying to avoid having to replace my VCG again. I got in and she fired right up, albeit with the pigeon moan and sounded rough for a few seconds. I let it warm up about 5 minutes, then took it for a 20 mile drive (drove a 5 mile loop around my house 4 times, so I wouldn't be too far from home if anything happened!). I plan to go to Pep Boys tomorrow and have them test the battery, but I assume they will say it's toast, because: 1) even in extreme cold, car should be able to sit 24 hours with the alarm set without going dead 2) battery (Interstate MTP-49/H8, 910 CA / 730 CCA / 175 RC) was installed 5/14/13, so it is 4.5 years old 3) they make money off selling me a battery, so of course they will tell me it is toast I think I will get the Bosch H8-900B, which is on sale for $126: https://www.pepboys.com/product/deta...03.0L%2520DOHC 1,080 CA / 900 CCA / 185 RX / 107 AH; 36/96 month warranty. Since installation is only $20, I will let them put it in. (it says free installation, but then it says $19.20 charge because my vehicle requires additional work)
