Should I wear my German tourist plates?

I have almost completed my vision of what my x5 should look like. The look is very similar to the X5 in the Bumer 2 movie; (The differance is that I decided against the aero kit and left it in stock 4.6is form). It now has a black grille and the underride protection. With the exception of the underride, everything is black. It almost needs something to break up all the black.

I have a german tourist plate that would complete the look, but I am not sure if I want to drill holes into my front bumper....

Would you do it?

Are you still in Germany ? ... if not than what's the point to drive with expired EU tourist plates in US ?

=============================================
JUST FOR FUN !!!! - A. B. C. ......
A. look people I was on vacation in Germany and/or did Euro delivery of my BMW ride ....
B. I drive German car [ .... hmm the X5 is made in US & designed in California ...... it's like 99.9% US ]
C. I'm from Germany and represent the German Nation & Automotive industry .... [especially - Autohaus Munchen - as from the above example pix ... lol]
=============================================

..... I'm from EU, but so far did not need to show off any EU plates when driving in US .... [do have them in the garage wall, otherwise yeah do have some tiny oval stickers on the rear windows of my rides just for kick ....]
N way it's your ride dude, do what ever you like to it I bet it is sleeper already All in black !

..... btw the bumper holes are not the reason

This is an oxy moron. C'mon guys! Do you really expect me to gain knowledge through a random guess or osmosis? I am obviously not "getting it", but I am a pretty smart guy and I would like for someone to at least attempt to explain the problem to me. I see all sorts of vehicles sporting euro plates in the US, regardless of their country of origin. I know that my X was manufactured in South Carolina, but it is still considered a German vehicle manufactured by a German company, yes?

Is there some sort of disrespect or hate issue created by flying one of those cool Euro plates?
.....or do you think it be more acceptable to display a Confederate flag that many consider to be entrenced with racism, bigotry and hate? !

Where's the problem?

Theres no problem, and I didnt mean to sound insulting either.

Some people like wheel spinners, some people hate chrome. I like touring plates and you dont and I respect that. You asked why so I answered.

Since your number plates are in a different format ... how can you use them?
I could use them being in Austria about 200km away from the BMW headquarter. I would not use them but that might be a different story
