Did the tech re-fit the rubber sealant on top of the trim?

I don't know if he did that but all looks normal with the trim and light and is aligned with the grill. Here are some pics....

Do I need to adjust xenon beam w/auto leveling?

sorry if this may sound stupid, but I need to ask...I just installed the Depo headlights and they look awesome, but I need to know if I have to do anything to adjust the low beams. I have 01 X5 with autoleveling. The autoleveling works because I can see going up and down when I turn the lights on, but I can't remember how was the aiming beam before and now. I'm just asking all of you that installed those lights if you've done any adjustment or I should leave it alone.

Yes.Just make sure you install one at a time ,always leaving in one OE headlight and mark the beam pattern on a wall,so that its so much easier for you to adjust the beam on the Depos, individually.
I did that on mine...very happy with them!

New 03 X5 Sport owner here, Hi!

I need to swap my factory Xenon HID housings for either OE or something like these from Depo. My originals are very hazy and old.

Can someone share a current link or source on the Depo ones, compatible with factory Xenon first run E53 X5?

It seems like those will provide a nice result, though I'll probably add some silicon sealant around the seems to make sure water doesn't get into them.

Thank you for the link!

How do you like them? Install yourself? Any major comments/concerns?

Love them so far. My buddy is a GM truck nut and I followed him to go to lunch the other day. He now wants something the same for his truck. LOL
Easy install but then I swapped out Halogen for Xenons as soon as we bought the SAV and have done it a few times since for others or bulb changes.
I had a near perfect set of original Xenons I pulled and sold on fleabay so the who upgrade cost only around $200.

I intend installing plugs into the LED wiring so the units can be easily removed without having to disconnect everything. Should have done it before I installed them. Computer fan lead extenders will work fine.

Right on!, your setup looks awesome, it looks like you get quite a kit of parts on that solution:

L and R headlight assemblies
angle-eyes (pre-installed)
new xenon bulbs
chrome/amber side bulbs

$629.94 plus shipping

It doesn't seem like too many of the aftermarket headlight kits are compatible with factory xenon X5's (like mine), though I did happen across this one that says it will work with factory xenon X5's:

01 03 BMW x5 E53 Titanium Smoke Euro Halo Angel Eyes Projector Headlight Lamps | eBay

$254.48 including shipping.

I wonder how this set compares, though it does re-use your existing xenon lights it says. I'd imagine it's not as good overall as the DEPO kit.
